RED CURRANTS

Marlena is a chance seedling discovered in the central Baden region of Germany. Its fruit characteristics are similar to Haronia, but it ripens significantly earlier (shortly after Tets). Very attractive 1- and 2-year-old plants are available with 1, 2, and 3+ shoots. This variety is susceptible to powdery mildew and is therefore only recommended for commercial cultivation.
