Growth:
Vigorous with flat branching and a spherical crown
Blossom:
Mid-late season
Ripening time:
Mid-July, shortly after Katinka and at the same time as Hanka
Look:
Blue-violet fruit, usually with a green blush. Size 32 to 36 mm.
Quality:
Whitish-yellow flesh, medium to good stone solubility
Taste:
Pleasantly sweet and aromatic, less good when over-fruited.
Yield:
Good and regular, consequently ripening.
Special notes:
Due to significant shelf-life issues, it has been discontinued by wholesalers since 2014. Good alternatives include Katinka and Hanka.
A good early variety for private gardens and direct marketers.
Well suited for fresh consumption, cakes and processing.
