HALF- AND HIGH-STEM TREES

Medium-sized, plump, yellow-green fruit with a red blush on the sun-exposed side. White-yellow flesh, juicy, sweet-tart, and slightly aromatic.

Tree:

moderately vigorous growth, somewhat sparse habit

Yield:

early onset, high and regular

Susceptibility:

moderately prone to scabs

Ripening time:

Mid to late August with Williams pears. Autumn pear with a short storage life.

Recommendation:

A good autumn pear for fresh eating. Suitable for orchards and home gardens, grafted onto quince rootstock; intermediate grafting is necessary.
